                                                    More about the new Rector

Father David comes to the Loggerheads Benefice from Handsworth in Birmingham via Cornwall where he was responsible for three coastal parishes. He is no stranger to rural ministry having been a country parson serving seven churches in Peterborough Diocese. He trained for ministry at Westcott House, Cambridge, and completed his curacy at St Mary’s Abbey, Nuneaton. Father David, who is 62, was born in Windsor, studied at Liverpool for his first degree and worked as a Social Worker in London before ordination. He continued to study part-time and completed a Master’s Degree at Warwick University followed by a Doctorate at Bradford. Father David is married to Linda, who is also a priest, but they don’t work together as the couple say they want to stay married. When they are not working, the Isiorhos can be found in front of the fire enjoying a glass of wine and animated conversation. They are owned by a cat called Sir Micky Mango Socrates (no need to curtsey or bow).

                                         Covid Update 24th January 2021

Unfortunately the Coronavirus pandemic is escalating with terrifying speed, and we would urge everyone who falls into the vulnerable category to please take extra care over the coming months. Having said that, at the moment two of our churches, Ashley and Mucklestone, are still open for public worship and private prayer as detailed
below. We are already complying with all the regulations and taking measures to keep our buildings safe, ie social distancing, hand sanitizing, wearing facemasks, and signing in for track & trace. Due to concerns over keeping the premises Covid-free, Broughton and Croxton have taken the decision to remain closed until a greater percentage of their congregations have been vaccinated. Please hold us all in your prayers.
